The second option is to use this app called SwitchResX, which is a paid app to achieve retina resolution with the 1080p workspace all right to conclude. Third option, a software from github enables users to use a Uperfect 4K monitor as a Retina (HiDPI) display on M1 machines (Full HD size with 4K detail).
